Dear Church Family,
The month of August was filled with blessings and burdens for our church family. The blessings have included…
Our Junior Camp under the leadership of Vicki Phillips and her team of volunteers who saw many young lives touched and changed.
The attendance at both of our campuses has been stable all summer with visitors expressing interest in what God is doing in our midst.
The last two weeks we have had the highest attendances of the summer at our Creekmoor campus.
But along with the blessings there were some heart aches. We have prayed, cried and rejoiced together for several families when their loved ones entered into the presence of the Lord. Many of you have served and loved these grieving families. Thank you for being there for them.
Now September is here! On Labor Day weekend many talented musicians from our church will participate in the Gospel Music Stage at Santa-Cali-Gon Days in Independence. I know you will want to support them. Here is their schedule:
4 His Love - Friday, 9:00 p.m.
Corey Spriggs - Saturday, 2:00 p.m.
Blue Ridge Gospel Singers - Saturday, 6:15 p.m.
Ascension Quartet - Saturday, 9:00 p.m.
Above and Beyond  - Sunday, 4:00 p.m.
On Sunday, September 6, we will have the Ascension Quartet as our guests. They will minister at Creekmoor at 9:00 a.m. and then at Blue Ridge for our 11:25 a.m. worship service. You want to make sure you are here and invite someone to come with you. A free will offering will be received at the end of each service.
If this isn’t enough to start a new month, on Sunday, September 13, we will celebrate our first anniversary at Creekmoor. Both of our campuses will be meeting at Creekmoor Elementary School at 9:00 a.m. The purpose of the day is to thank our Lord for all He has done in the last year. Additionally, we desire to honor all our people who serve in both our locations. Following the service, everyone is invited to a picnic at our CrossPointe property starting at noon. A barbeque lunch will all the trimmings will be served. If you haven’t already made your reservations, please sign-up up at the Welcome Center on Sunday. This is a great opportunity to invite someone to see first hand what God is doing through our people. Be praying for the next two weeks.
Because He Lives,
Pastor
