Blue Ridge Baptist Temple is a Bible believing New Testament church established March 7, 1954, by Dr. Parker Dailey.

For over 50 years our desire has been sharing the story of the saving grace of Jesus Christ to the world, and fostering Christian relationships of families and individuals that attend our church.

We truly have a heart for God and a home for people.   Our children's ministries include Kingdom Kidz and AWANA. Students meet at  BRYG (Blue Ridge Youth Group).  The men and women's groups, Joshua's Men and F.A.R. meet monthly. Vocal and instrumental talents serve in music ministry. We have a place for everyone in your family.  It would be our joy to minister to you at Blue Ridge!

BLUE RIDGE BAPTIST MISSION:

A Heart for God, A Home for People, A Hope for Eternity

At Blue Ridge you will find:
1.  A God who loves you just like you are.
2.  A family that accepts you
3.  A Message of help and hope

DOCTRINAL STATEMENT:

Blue Ridge believes in a supernatural Bible, which tells of a supernatural Christ, who had a supernatural birth, who spoke supernatural words, who performed supernatural miracles, who lived a supernatural life, who died a supernatural death, who rose in a supernatural power, who ascended in a supernatural splendor, who intercedes as a supernatural priest and who will one day return in supernatural glory to establish a supernatural kingdom on earth.

CONCERING THE BIBLE:

We believe that both New and Old Testaments are verbally inspired by God and are inerrant in the original writings. They are penned by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. They are the ultimate authority in faith and everyday living that changes our lives. II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21

CONCERNING GOD:

We believe in one God who is the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in Three Persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:26-27; Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14

CONCERNING JESUS CHRIST:

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as sacrifice for the sins of all people when He died on the cross. After three days in the grave, He conquered death and sin by rising from the dead. He ascended back to heaven and is making intercession as our great High Priest. Someday He will come back to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Matthew 1:22-23; John 1:1-5; Isaiah 7:14; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Hebrews 7:25

CONCERNING THE HOLY SPIRIT:

We believe the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and Jesus Christ. God's Spirit is present to make mankind aware of their need of a Savior. From the moment a person becomes a Christian, God's Spirit indwells that believer. The Holy Spirit provides guidance in understanding the Truth of the Bible, supplies power for everyday living, and gives every believer a spiritual gift to serve God and others within the church family. As believers, we should yield ourselves to control every day. John 16:7-13; John 14:16-17; Ephesians 1:13

CONCERNING PEOPLE:

Everyone is made in the image of God. All people are the object of God's supreme love. Man chose to sin which lead to physical, spiritual, and eternal death. Our fallen nature leads away from God, and we become sinners in thought, word, and deed. John 3:16; Romans 5:12; Ephesians 5:1; Revelation 20:15

CONCERNING SALVATION:

Salvation is God's free gift, but we must accept it. This gift can never be earned or merited by self-improvement or good works. We must personally trust Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins because He is the only One that can forgive us. He paid our sin penalty when He was our substitute on the cross. He justifies us by His blood when we turn to Him by faith. At that very moment we are saved eternally, we become a child of God. John 1:12; John 14:6; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9

CONCERNING ETERNAL SECURITY:

We believe because Jesus gave us eternal life, the true believer is secure and safe forever. If a person has genuinely been saved, he cannot lose his salvation. We are saved by grace and kept by grace. John 10:28-30; I Peter 1:5; Jude 24

CONCERNING HIS RETURN:

We believe in the blessed hope, the personal premillennial and imminent return of the Lord Jesus. I Corinthians 15:51-58; I Thessalonians 4:13-18

CONCERNING ETERNITY:

We believe people were created to exist forever. We will either be eternally separated from God by sin or eternally united with God through His love and forgiveness. When eternally separated from God, it means an eternity in Hell. When eternally united with God, it means Heaven. Both Heaven and Hell are real places where people will spend eternity. John 3:16; John 14:1-3; Revelation 20:15

CONCERNING THE CHURCH:

We believe the local church is a body of believers who have been baptized and organized to worship, fellowship, and serve the Lord Jesus. It is a place where people work together fulfilling the Great Commission and the Great Commandment all in an atmosphere building up, encouraging, and loving each other. Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; Ephesians 5:23-24
